I was so excited  about the story of Jane Adams in the Hull-House it was a wonderful image even after her dead  her name is still alive .Jane Addams was a writer ,philosopher, suffragist, she has a vision and values that guide her to  support the society its a  helpful ,powerful and peaceful when  won  Nobel Peace Prize,  women are  naturally kind hearted and peace makers they are against  war.
when  I was looking at the Hull  House it was like a small world for her with a lot of different activities like  school, play ground for children , meeting room ,library, schedule which shows the division of time  which is 8+8+8 ( 8 hours for work, 8 hours for rest and 8 hours for other things)she also talked about human right  and the right of children  so what I liked about her was the way she was Leading and her  relations with her followers and this is what we need in South Sudan collaboration because one person can not can the country but if we join hands together we can develop our country.
Im proud of Jane Addams experience she had encourage me to think about how the women of South Sudan can build peace and reconciliation in the Country. So ladies don't you think the different knowledge we have learnt from the hull house can help in the development of our country?

good question Nyaluak, yes we can help in developing our country in a way that is suitabe to our enveronment.
ReplyDeleteGreat Nyaluak, I'm happy with what you have learned and how you related it to South Sudan.yes, we must collaborate and work towards peace and reconciliation if we want the future generations to be left with Legacy as Jane Adams. Well done.
ReplyDeleteI love that you found so much inspiration at the Hull House! I agree Jane Addams did some amazing work within her local community. I also like that you acknowledge that she did not do this alone - it was a group of women working together. Does that sound familiar : )
ReplyDeleteThat's really a great question Nyaluak and my answer is absoulotely YES! because her patient about serving the community and the love and commitment that she gave to her people in Chicago has really touch my heart. We can adopt this kind of ideas to serve our societies in different ways!
ReplyDeleteVery good experience that you got from there
