One way will encrouge girls education in South Sudan

When I will go back home, my vision is improving female literacy in South Sudan because, education for all, is a human right. I believe, I will achieve my dream. By increasing awareness for girls at school that is my duty as a teacher. I will  let them think, "education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world" influence in their ideas (washing their brain of ideas that, they were born to get married, and bring children) change will start from me, ( family), talk to my sisters who have not completed their education for reasons of, early marriage to go back to school, and those who are not getting married yet, I will encourage them to finish their education.

I will meet the communities for discussion and share with them my ideas,  including parents, youth (young men as a part contributed of the issue), church leaders have advices role to consider the issues. Indeed increase awareness of the community with the culture do not allow girls go to school, and those who care about girls 'age after University. Therefore, adults have a duty to bear the responsibility for their girls." When parents and teachers collaborate on behalf of children, they create windows of light for the generations that follow." I think the way of increasing awareness will help me to implement my goals.

How I will do it?
This issue of girls education will need that, all people put hands on hands, the government of South Sudan, communities, organizations, ministry of education, girls' interested and I,will work together to end early marriage and other causes that are barriers to female education. By organizing the meeting places, Media, workshops, Newspaper, Voices speaking, microphone, Meeting with girls 'mothers to encourage their daughters, Televisions program, and Radio to give chance to people who are living in the villages. Keeping girls in school can help South Sudan because, there are links between girls education and country development.

Hello,Ladies could you join me to go back South Sudan?

My Goals when I Return to South Sudan

My major plans when I will return to South Sudan, include peace building, developing, education for girls ,training teachers, empowering women with knowledge.  I will work with organization working on peace building process because, during conflict  women are the victims of rape, lost of properties, loneliness, and increased number of girls dropout from school.

The road to change is not easy.  Change can not come in a day, even development need more time to be complete. However, I have dreams that I hope to achieve upon my arrival in South Sudan. I have gained knowledge and skills in this program, which I thin South Sudan really need in order to achieve peace and development.  And I believe that the lessons I have learned from Leadership class will help me to improve my professional skills and how to settle conflict related issues as a teacher and a leader in my community.

However, the knowledge I have gained from my psychology class will help me understand background of students and their behaviors so that I can design better strategies for teaching.

ladies, don't you think we can  achieved these goals?

Dropout Of Students due to Insecurity

Education is a right for every one ,but there are some reasons that do not allow children to complete their education. Dropout of students from school is a social phenomena that happen in different places. But  conflicts is one of the causes that increase the number of students dropout from school. It affects both boys and girls.

In emergency environment, children are faced with high risk of injury or death, destroy school buildings, threats teachers and students, lack of materials, fear, responsibility at home, food insecurity. Can make students to loose hope and interest in education.

In this situation students feel boring and  loss hope about the future they can think about other things. for example,  boys join army and girls get married at early age.

Ladies, what do you think can be done to stop the rate of dropout children from school during crisis?

Hull -House museum in Chicago

I was so excited  about the story of Jane Adams in the Hull-House it was a wonderful image even after her dead  her name is still alive .Jane Addams was a writer ,philosopher, suffragist, she has a vision and values that guide her to  support the society its a  helpful ,powerful and peaceful when  won  Nobel Peace Prize,  women are  naturally kind hearted and peace makers they are against  war.
when  I was looking at the Hull  House it was like a small world for her with a lot of different activities like  school, play ground for children , meeting room ,library, schedule which shows the division of time  which is 8+8+8 ( 8 hours for work, 8 hours for rest and 8 hours for other things)she also talked about human right  and the right of children  so what I liked about her was the way she was Leading and her  relations with her followers and this is what we need in South Sudan collaboration because one person can not can the country but if we join hands together we can develop our country.

Im proud of Jane Addams experience she had encourage me to think about how the women of South Sudan can build peace and reconciliation in the Country. So ladies don't you think the different knowledge we have learnt from the hull house can help in the development of our country?

South sudan curriculum Approach

Curriculum History in South Sudan should include the best, and important events ,such as independent and the heroes who fought for independence, and we were Sudanese before and now we become South Sudanese, so  culture diversity to help student known themselves, different ethnic group should be included .the history of struggling, focus on their education like  war ,and its consequences , and how people should live as a one nation, because we need our young generation to avoid conflict an have aspiration, or vision of the future and stick on peace and unity.
